With a rich history dating back to 1865, Zenith have created many timepieces that have become iconic in Swiss watchmaking. One of the outstanding achievements was the invention of the first integrated automatic chronograph movement; the Zenith Chronomaster. Still the most precise series-made calibre to this day.
The Zenith Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Ton-Up is a tribute to the classic Café Racer Spirit motorcycle. With a rustic 45mm aged stainless-steel case and a simplistic laid out grained slate grey dial, the Ton-Up has a minimalistic appearance like the famous motorcycle. Two chronograph sub feature on the rugged dial, the small seconds are positioned at 9 o’clock and a 30-minuite counter is displayed at the 3 o’clock position. A single chronograph hand is positioned centrally. The bold beige hour and minute hands are coated with SuperLuminova, as are the large beige Arabic numeral index hour markers, ensuring the dial can be read in the brightest of lights to the darkest of conditions. Finally, the Zenith Pilot Type 20 Chronograph Ton-Up is adorned by the rugged green oily nubuck leather strap, lined with a protective layer of rubber.
A case back engraved with "Café Racer Spirit" encases the El Primero 4069 Automatic movement, with an impressive 50-hour power reserve.
